Thomas James Sadler

Thomas James Sadler, 71, died unexpectedly at his home on February 23. Born in Tampa, he grew up in Tallahassee, attended Leon County schools, graduated from Gordon Military Academy and later attended TCC.

He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the US Army. Returning to civilian life Thomas was part of an early energy research project in Puerto Rico. Later he supported Apple computers sales and repair in the island, and returned to the US to work in contracting. He spent the last ten years in the satellite communications industry working all over the Southeast. Upon retirement he worked part time for a while at the Capital City Country Club.

He was the son of the late Clifford U. Sadler, Jr., Sarasota and the late Lois Hunt Sadler, who retired as Chief Journal Clerk of the Florida House. He is survived by his wife, Iris Munoz Sadler, his daughter Tania Sadler, grandson Yxeas and granddaughter Aneyra and his sisters Judith Sadler Rogers, of Havana, Beth Cave of Sarasota , Karen Puccio, and brothers Clifford U. Sadler III and David Sadler.

He was a pilot, active in the Civil Air Patrol, a skillful sailor and very capable of repairing any technical item. He was also a skillful barbecue cook who enjoyed serving his smoky creations to his many friends. more ...
