Paul Calvin Harrell
Paul C. Harrell, age 70, passed away on January 19, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee. Paul graduated from Leon High School in 1963. He retired from the Florida Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Compliance with thirty-four years of service at the rank of Lt. Colonel.
In his free time Paul enjoyed spending time at St. George Island where he loved to fish. He was a master chef and enjoyed entertaining and spending time with family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul A. and Mattie Kate McCollough Harrell and his brother, John Harrell. Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Joy Harrell; son Zane (Alison) Harrell; grandchildren Cooper and Cassidy Harrell; sister Marion (Ed) Lee; sister-in-law Janice Harrell all of Tallahassee; niece Paula (Bill) Mueller; nephews Tracy (Garri) Lee; Chris Harrell, Burt Harrell; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 22, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
