Norman Braswell, 69, of Tallahassee passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida on January 9, 1945 to parents B. and Ethel Braswell (Deceased). After over 29 years of diligent service as a Mail carrier, Norman retired from the US Postal Service.

He served in the US Navy as a Submariner during the Vietnam War for 4 years, and remained fascinated by submarines.

A lover of nature, Norman had a soft heart for wildlife and was always feeding critters on his property. He had a vast knowledge of random words and was always learning new ones! Norman was very sociable and was said to have never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cynthia Braswell of Tallahassee; brother Fletcher (Jackie) Braswell of Tallahassee; mother-in-law, Doreen Chesser of Gainesville, Fl.; sister-in-law, Kristine and brother-in-law, Bill.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Frances and Sylvia, and brothers, Lawrence and Jamie.

A Celebration of Norman's Life will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Culley's Meadowwood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Rd. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Francis Wildlife Association, 5580 Salem Rd, Mt Pleasant, FL 32352.
