Annice “Louise” Stephens Snowden

Services for Annice “Louise” Stephens Snowden, 67, of Cairo, GA, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2013, at the Cairo Church of God, Cairo, GA.  Rev. DeWayne Atkinson will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. 

Mrs. Snowden passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Grady General Hospital, Cairo, GA.Active pallbearers will be Virgil Bennett, Larry Chester, Jason Chester, Michael Sprayberry, Jamie McCorkle, and Robbie Deloach.  Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Brinkley, Ricky Willis, Larry Chester, and Lester Chester.

Mrs. Snowden was born on September 21, 1945, in Cairo, GA, to the late Willard Eugene Stephens and Florence Helen Wynn Mohr Stephens.  On February 25, 1967, she married Willis Tom Snowden, who survives.  Mrs. Snowden was a retired data analyst with Grady General Hospital.  She was a culinary school graduate and loved to cook.  Louise loved her work with family genealogy and reading books. She was an avid outdoors person and she loved to fish.  She was a lifetime member of the Grady County Historical Society and the pursuit of its local history.  She was a member of the Cairo Church of God. 

Survivors include: her husband, Willis Tom Snowden of Cairo, GA; sons, Matthew Snowden (Wanda) of Augusta, GA, Steven Snowden of Cairo, GA; grandchild, Morganlynn Snowden of Springhill, FL; step-granddaughter, Michelle Scott of Augusta, GA; step-great-grandchildren, Victoria Davis and Thomas Davis both of Augusta, GA; sister, Linda Sprayberry (Melvin) of Jasper, AL. Mrs. Snowden was preceded in death by: her parents; step-father, Fredrich T. Mohr; brother, Larry Stephens; and a half-brother, Fredrich J. Mohr. 

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Snowden to: the Cairo Church of God or the Grady County Historical Society.   The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2013, from 4 until 6:00 p.m.  Guests may sign the online register at www.clarkfuneral.com.  -.more  ...
